Kishan Thakkar, MD
Biography
Born in Ohio and having graduated from Ladue High School in Missouri, Dr. Thakkar was blessed to have been raised in some of the friendliest Midwestern communities. The sweet smell of sweet tea then lured him southward to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Having developed deep friendships and an unfortunate infatuation with Cook Out milkshakes, he ultimately returned to UNC for his medical degree, where he was awarded the Carolina Medical Science Research Scholarship for his research on Eosinophilic Esophagitis. To achieve a healthier caloric intake by limiting access to southern cuisine, he moved back to the Midwest for his internship in Chicago, where he was met by a gorgeous sunrise on summer mornings while running alongside Lake Michigan on the Lakefront trail.
