Nicholas E. Hoyt, MD
Biography
Dr. Hoyt grew up in Central Virginia. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Medical Humanities from the College of William & Mary before receiving his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha. During medical school, he pursued a passion for global health, spending time working to expand access to pediatric cardiac care in Vietnam. He completed his preliminary year in Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital prior to coming to Brown. Dr. Hoyt met his wife, Skylar, while they were medical students at GW, and she is currently an anesthesiology resident. Outside of medicine, Dr. Hoyt is a proud 15-handicap golfer who remains convinced his next round will be his best. He also enjoys following just about every sport—especially college football—traveling, cooking, staying involved in his church community, and spending time with friends and family.
