Department of Diagnostic Imaging

Dr. Bonanno was born in North Carolina but grew up in the Dayton, Ohio area. She completed her undergraduate studies at Case Western Reserve University where she earned a BA in Biochemistry and served as captain of the women’s tennis team. After college, she was a member of the Reds Rally Pack, where she cheered and shot T-shirts for the Cincinnati Reds.  She returned to NC to earn her Medical Degree at UNC (Go Heels!) For her preliminary intern year, she trained at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. She is a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Her other interests include travel and art history.
