Department of Diagnostic Imaging

Dr. Kirbens hails from Wyoming, Colorado, Georgia, and South Carolina. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana where he studied Anthropology with a triple focus in Archaeology, Linguistics, and Biological Anthropology, Public Health and Tropical Medicine. He remained at Tulane to earn his Medical Degree, where he was also awarded the Goldie-Mintz Award and, in 2017, had the highest grade on the NBME Physiology Shelf Exam. Dr. Kirbens comes to us from a transitional year at the Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia.
