Dr. Gu grew up in Houston, Texas before moving up to Rhode Island to complete his undergraduate and medical school studies at Brown University. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience and Philosophy and completed a Scholarly Concentration in Medical Technology, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship at Brown’s Warren Alpert Medical School. Dr. Gu is involved in radiology research and has presented at multiple national conferences, including RSNA where he was awarded a Trainee Research Prize for his work on lung cancer screening. For his intern year, he stayed local at Roger Williams Medical Center to complete a preliminary medicine program. In his time off, Dr. Gu enjoys staying active, playing video games, and exploring the cultural and food scene in and around Providence.
