Anna M. Horner, MD
Biography
Dr. Horner is from Bismarck, North Dakota. She attended her state school for undergrad, where received a Bachelor's of Science in Biology with a Chemistry minor and a Bachelor of Arts in Honors (Applied Humanities) with a Psychology minor. She was inducted into the Mortar Board and Phi Beta Kappa societies and graduated summa cum laude. Before attending medical school, she worked as a research specialist exploring the mechanisms of HIV persistence and cure strategies at Emory in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Horner received her medical degree at the Emory University School of Medicine. She spent her transitional year working for Wellstar Kennestone in Marietta, GA. When not at the hospital, Dr. Horner can be found on the water (sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding), biking or hiking, or at a hockey game. She is also an unapologetic coffee fanatic and self-certified chocolate connoisseur.
