Biography

Undergraduate: Boston College
Dr. Tareila is a Pennsylvania native, born in Montgomeryville. He received his bachelor’s degree at The George Washington University in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, where he pursued English. Dr. Tareila received his Medical Degree at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. During medical school, Dr. Tareila was awarded Clerkship Honors in Obstetrics & Gynecology, Diagnostic Radiology, Body Imaging & Intervention, Pediatric Radiology, and Hematology & Oncology. He also was awarded the Student Research Assistantship in 2015 by the University Emergency Medicine Foundation for research on clinical determinants of recovery time in mild traumatic brain injury. Dr. Tareila is an active member of CrossFit Providence and their competition team, he has completed 18 competitions during medical school. He is also a member of the medical school intramural ice hockey team, and a multi-instrumentalist having played the piano, guitar, drums, and bass since elementary school.
